ICTFC return to league action to face Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena after their last two matches were called off due to the poor weather conditions.

Referee: Colin Steven Assistants: Michael Banks and David Burns

The Manager: John Robertson

“It’s good to get back into action, that’ll be the main thing. At long last the wintery weather is gone so we’re looking forward to it, we’ve got three tough games in a week. Starting with Livingston, who are on fire and if you look at their last few results they’ve turned over St Mirren, Morton and Dundee Utd and that’s what we need to do.”

“We’ve said before we need to take points from the teams above us, we’ve had three good games, but we should have won the last two. We have to go down to Livingston and start a similar run to what we had earlier on in the season. “

“They are still in the title hunt, there’s no doubt about that. I think St Mirren’s win against Brechin was vital to give themselves some breathing space, but fair play to Livingston they’re making a title fight of it and their last three results means they deserve the accolade of being title contenders. They’ve caught a lot of people by surprise, not us because we know the quality David [Hopkin] has at his disposal.”

“They have a very direct style and it works great for them, and what they’ve done is and its good management, they’ve picked players to play that system. In the January window, they’ve replaced Mullen with Miller and Hardie and that’s allowed them to continue with that system that’s worked so well for them.”

“We know it’s going to be battle, there will be a lot of long balls and knock downs to deal with but we have to be brave, keep our passing going through them because in the last two matches in particular that’s worked very well for us. We’ve created numerous chances but we just haven’t taken them and we’re going to have to do that if we want to take all three points.”

The Opponent

Livingston have been one of the outstanding sides in the Ladbrokes Championship this season, as they sit in second place behind St Mirren. Craig Halkett is the club’s top scorer in the league with 6 goals with Dylan Mackin and, the inform Rangers loanee, Ryan Hardie behind on 5 goals. Livi’s place in the play-offs looks secure at this stage of the season, sitting 14 points ahead of 5th placed Dunfermline.

Team News

Coll Donaldson and Nathan Austin remain out with hamstring injuries.

Mark Ridgers had the following to say in the build up to the match: “It’s one that we should be looking to win if we have any opportunity of getting into the play-offs. It’s going to be difficult they are playing very well, are second in the league and are flying but the boys have had plenty rest and definitely will be up for it.”
