Korrie To Be First Back Of Shirt Sponsor
Inverness-based Korrie Group is to have their name on the back of the new Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC strip for the 2014-15 Scottish Premiership season.

This is the first time the club has had a separate sponsor on the back of the shirts.

Korrie Group runs an expanding plumbing, heating and mechanical services business along with a fast-growing renewable energy division featuring air and ground source, biomass and solar.

Club chairman Kenny Cameron said: ”This new partnership with Korrie is an innovative and exciting one.

“With our considerable TV and media exposure, the shirt back is a prime vehicle for marketing your business.

“Korrie were a big help to us in installing the new biomass system at the stadium last season which has significantly cut our heating costs. They’ve become a major local employer and we hope our sponsorship connection is a long lasting one.

“The funds from the deal will go straight in to manager John Hughes’ football department budget. With our new shirt sponsor and now the Korrie involvement, this gives the club excellent strip sponsorship income in the new season and I would like to thank our commercial team, headed up by Iain Auld, who have done an excellent job in securing our strip sponsors.”

Donnie Fraser, managing director of Korrie, said: ”We’re a community-minded business and this is an excellent way in which to support Caley Thistle.

“Having our website address on the shirt necks is, we think, a first-class business tool. It enhances recognition of Korrie and does a first-class marketing job.

“We’re delighted to feature on what is an attractive new shirt design – and it underlines what I hope will be an ongoing commitment by us to the club.”

Korrie, which held its first renewables exhibition in Inverness last month, include among their key staff former Caley Thistle favourite Alan Hercher, who played in their first Scottish League season 20 years ago this August.
