Hike for your Heart
Take on the Ben Nevis Challenge, 11-13th October 2013.
If you’re looking for a challenge that is also an experience of a lifetime, why not take on Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK, and raise money for Heart Research UK.
At 1,344 metres (4,409ft) above sea level in the Scottish Highlands, close to the town of Fort William, Ben Nevis has spectacular and dramatic views of the Highlands and Western Isles and reaching the summit is not only a challenge but is also a special experience.
For those taking part there is no climbing involved as you will follow a path over uneven terrain at times, rising gradually in places with steeper and rocky sections, and guides will be on hand throughout the day to support and help you.
The weekend includes return travel from Glasgow to Fort William, accommodation on the Friday and Saturday plus a celebration evening. You can view more information about the event here including an outline itinerary and FAQs.
Entry for the event is £50 and we ask you to pledge to raise a minimum of £500. We’ll provide a full fundraising support pack to help you along the way including a Heart Research UK t-shirt, A-Z fundraising guide, sponsor forms, balloons, posters and anything else you might need.
