After the 1st team’s success at Hampden last May, the community team took the Scottish cup on the road to visit as many schools across the highlands and allow classes and individuals a chance to get photos taken with the oldest piece of silverware in football history.

Over the last year the Community Team were able to visit 111 schools across the Highlands area all the way up North to Thurso and Wick, Down to Fort William, Across to Isle of Skye and East to Nairn/Moray area schools. This meant that a total of 12936 Pupils managed to get the opportunity of a life time to see the Scottish cup, this meant trying to visit as many rural schools as we possibly could.

During the Scottish Cups adventures it was met with a ram on the way to Achilitbuie Primary, Spent some time in a chicken coup with hens raised by Hilton Primary, was looked after by the class guinea pigs at Thrumster Primary and swam with goldfish at Lybster.  By doing this the community team managed to clock up a mileage total of 4353.7 miles which is a trip to Bucharest in Romania and back, even after that we would still have 85.7 miles to spare.

The whole Stadium had massive sense of pride in the achievement the players and manger have manged to produce on the park and this has benefited staff giving an immense sense of pride in the football club. Hopefully there will be more success to come in the near future for only being in professional football league for 22 years it was a great achievement.
