On keeping the momentum going
“We’ll look to stay focused, keep our run going, and try to win the game”
“It’s really important to keep that momentum going. The boys are working hard, and I think they know the importance of trying to stay at the top of the table.”
“We’re trying to change the mentality and mindset, so we’re at it each week. We know teams will want to come and beat us to try and knock us off the top spot, and that’s where we need to take on the challenge.”
“We need to be at our best and push ourselves every week to get better too.”
On the players this season
“I’m really pleased with the players this season; I can’t fault any one of them. They give me everything they’ve got every single day, both on the training ground and around the club.”
“That’s what we’ve tried to build since the summer, and we’ve brought in the right players to do that.”
“They’re a brilliant bunch of boys. It was important that we built the right type of squad, and I know some boys will be frustrated with game time and such, but they need to keep themselves ready, and they’ve done that. It’s been excellent, as they’re pushing the boys who are in at the minute, and that’s exactly what we want.”
On Ryan Christie helping Scotland qualify for the World Cup
“Everyone at the club and in Inverness is proud of him. It has been incredible. He’s been living his dream, and that’s what you want to do when you’re a youngster. We’ve been very fortunate to see him come through the youth system, play for the first team, and win the Scottish Cup here. He’s moved on to bigger things, and to see him involved the other night was quite incredible.”
“I went down to the match. I took my son for his first game, and to see Ryan play for his country in such a big match after coming through the youth system, it was incredible.
“Ryan deserves everything he gets, as he’s a humble boy. He’s worked so hard ever since we first saw him in the younger squads. A lot of work went into him from his dad, who was always there pushing him, which was great to see. I’m delighted for Ryan, Charlie, Sharon, and Paige, they’re such a close family. Everyone at the club is absolutely over the moon for him.”
Team News
“One or two are touch and go for the match. They’ll be assessed ahead of Saturday.”
“Billy Mckay is back on the training ground. He’s itching to get going. He’s a quick healer, but he’s still got a bit to go. He’s on the right track and is ahead of schedule.”
“Ross Millen is also back involved. That’s a massive boost for us. His experience has been excellent and, even when he’s been injured, his attitude has been outstanding in helping keep the boys motivated.”
