Angel Wings – The Baby James Legacy would like to thank everyone who attended the hospitality against Ross County. As a result of your kindness, £535 was donated to us. This means in the past year we have now raised just over £26,000.

Just over a year ago we decided to raise funds for one “snuggle blanket”. A cold refrigeration blanket which allows families extra time with their loved ones after they pass, it can be used in hospital or in their home as it’s portable. These systems cost £3,800 each. The response was amazing and the first blanket was funded in a matter of days.

Since then lots of requests have come in and so far we have donated blankets to Jamie Rogers Funeral Directors in Aviemore, Raigmore Hospital Children’s ward, Highland Hospice and Manchester Children’s Hospital in honour of the Manchester 22.

Blankets will be ordered and gifted this year also to Aberdeen Children’s Hospital and Edinburgh Children’s Hospital. We have requests for blankets from hospitals in Glasgow and Kilmarnock. So the fundraising will continue.

But it’s not only about the fundraising. First and foremost Angel Wings is a support for people who have lost a baby or child. The support ICTFC have given us has been invaluable in spreading awareness.

All this has been done in memory of a very special little boy, James Zander Anderson. Forever 16 months.
