Head Coach Scott Kellacher
Looking ahead to the Raith Rovers game
“We’re looking forward to it, we know it is going to be a real hard game. I was delighted with the performance against East Kilbride on Tuesday but we won’t get carried away and we’ll keep our feet on the ground.”
“Raith Rovers have some great quality players that can hurt you at any time, so we need to be at our best. It’ll be the fourth team from the Championship we’ve played in the last month, which is good preparations for us going forward, we’ve learnt a lot from the games.”
“I think we’re going in the right direction; we’re building a good squad but it is important we go down there and believe in ourselves, are ruthless in front of goal like we were on Tuesday and look to get a clean sheet too. Overall, we just need to go there and work hard.”
Assessing the chance of progression through the group
“The main focus is to try and win the game. You can’t control what happens elsewhere, it’s something that we had to do last year in terms of staying focused on ourselves. It’s all about what we do and that’ll be the case going forward too.”
On new signing Oscar MacIntyre
“Oscar is a fantastic footballer, and we’re delighted to get that one over the line. He’s going to be a big player for us, we’ve been trying to get him for a long time so the hard work behind the scenes has paid off. We’re delighted to add him to the squad because he’ll bring a lot to it.”
Player Preview: Paul Allan
On the Raith Match
“It’ll be a tough game but one we’re looking forward to. I think the win on Tuesday puts us in a good position if we can go and get three points to potentially look to be one of the better second placed teams if St Johnstone go and win their match.”
“It’s one the boys are looking forward to, it’ll be a tough game but we’re looking to go and get three points.”
On the East Kilbride match
“I thoroughly enjoyed it, even in the first half I thought it was a good game with both teams having a right good go. It was two attacking teams so there were chances at both ends. In the second half, we took a lot of our chances, and it turned out to be a comfortable win in the end.”
On the chances of progression from the Group Stage
“The objective is to progress through the group, we need to look at our own game, win against Raith Rovers and we’ll see where that takes us come the end of the game.”
On playing in a more advanced role
“I enjoy being more advanced, it’s easier while playing there to get involved with attacking play, so you can contribute more to the team. I’ve spoke to the gaffer about it, I played as a number 10 against Montrose in the final match of last season and I did well, so it something he’s looked at. I’m happy to play where I’m asked.”
On the team gelling together
“I think the new additions have settled in well, they are all comfortable in the way we play, all like to take the ball and you can see people linking up in games and in training. It’s exciting and hopefully we can keep it going.”
