Gordon Fyfe

The Board of Directors of ICTFC are delighted to report that Gordon Fyfe has accepted an invitation to become a Director and his involvement will begin immediately.  Gordon has a passion for football and has a wide experience in communication and these assets combine to make him an ideal candidate for the job.

Gordon is a former player with Inverness Caledonian, spending 10 seasons with the club between 1970-79 before a serious leg break ended his career.  He has served as President of the Inverness Soccer Sevens Association, and was coach of former veteran’s football side, the Bankers for many years.   Gordon has been a fan of Inverness Caledonian Thistle since their formation in 1994 and has attended all the club’s keynote matches.

On the communication front, he was a newspaper reporter with the Inverness Courier and Press & Journal before becoming Public Relations Manager of The Highland Council.  Since retiring from the Council in June 2014, Gordon has been providing a PR consultancy service.  He stood down recently after his two-year stint as President of Inverness Golf Club and is now ready for a new challenge.

In his new role as a Director, Gordon’s focus will be to oversee and improve our internal and external communications and he has indicated a big interest in the Youth and Community side of the business.  On behalf of everyone at ICTFC, please join me in welcoming Gordon into his new role.
