Match report
Davie Ross was the hero two minutes from time as his goal gave Caley Thistle a well-deserved draw. With Kilbowie Park derelict the Bankies are ground sharing with Dumbarton. The game started slowly and the first real chance fell to the home side in the 12th minute. Calder parried an 18 yard McWilliams shot and Teasdale blocked the follow up from Brown. Clydebank took the lead in the 16th minute. A through ball reached the unmarked MacDonald 25 yards out. He rounded Calder and scored. Play was halted for 7 minutes in the 29th minute as referee Tom Brown was carried off with an ankle injury. Caley Thistle pressed hard for an equaliser and in the 34th minute Wilson chipped it past the post from the edge of the area. At the other end Calder had to look sharp in the 41st minute when he punched away a low cross from Kenny Ward. As the half came to a close Stewart took a pass from Robertson and slotted it into the net but the half-time whistle had blown. In the 50th minute Cherry set up Stewart who ran into the area and rounded the keeper but his angled shot was blocked on the line. In the 66th minute the Bankies came close when Brown fed McDonald 12 yards out but he lost control and hit it over the bar. In the 69th minute Calder did well to save at full length from McDonald. 2 minutes from time Caley Thistle snatched a deserved equaliser. A Robertson free kick from the left was touched on by Addicoat and Ross hit it into the roof of the net from close range. The visitors had played enough good football to win the match but Clydebank defended well. In the end Caley Thistle were happy to take a point.
