Head Coach Scott Kellacher spoke to the media ahead of this weekend’s match against Alloa Athletic

On the three away trips in a row
“It’s been hard going. I’ve tried to stay positive and look forward to the games, but we do realise it is a long haul for the boys with the match last Saturday [v Annan] then back down on the Tuesday night [against Queen of the South].
“They’ve just got on with it, there’s been no moans and that is what we’ve tried to create, in terms of, it is something we’ve always had to do.”
“We just have to accept it, get on with it and that’s life. We knew it would be a hard, not many teams in Scotland will have had a week like what we have had.”
“We got off to a good start against Annan, a massive result for us. On Tuesday, as much as it probably was a great game for the neutral, we’ve just come up a bit short. It took its toll in the last 20 minutes or so. We’ve got off to a great start and got back to 2-2 and it is frustrating the way it ended.”
On Alloa Athletic
“Alloa are a very good side, they are up there in the top four. Every time we’ve played them this year it has been a hard game against them. They have some very good players down there, they have good strikers, they’re good at the back too. We know we need to be our best to win the game and we know each week we’ll have to be.”
“We saw the other night how much it meant to Queen of the South to beat us, because every team we play against they are probably feeling it is taking them that much further away from us. We just need to try and keep winning every game, try to keep our sights on Annan and try and get ourselves safe which is the most important thing.”
On preparing for the Alloa match
“We’ll look at them, see what they’ve got to offer and see where we could use our strengths to get our rewards in the game and get success. We treat each game different; you do get to realise you get to know teams better when you play them four times per year.”
“You get to know teams, you get to know players and we know how hard a game it is going to be because they’re a very good team.”
On Luis Longstaff
“He got a real bad dead leg. He’s going to be 50-50 for the match this weekend. He was a real big loss for us the other night because he’s a big player for us.”
