Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC can confirm that midfielder Sam Thompson has joined Highland League side Clachnacuddin FC on loan until January 2027.
Sam, 19, signed his first full-time contract with the club last summer and agreed a contract extension ahead of the 2026/27 season in June. The midfielder spent the second half of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Brora Rangers, where he played his part in the club’s Highland League title-winning season.
The loan move to Clachnacuddin will provide Sam with another valuable opportunity to gain regular first-team football and continue his development. Everyone at Inverness Caledonian Thistle wishes Sam every success during his time at Grant Street Park.
