With the new season now underway, Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club would like to remind supporters of their responsibility in respect of unacceptable conduct while in and around the stadium. While we know that the vast majority of our supporters already comply with these regulations and support the club in the manner expected, sadly this has been not the case with everyone in recent seasons.
Supporters of both home and away clubs while attending both home and away matches are expected to behave in a responsible and respectable manner in compliance with the SFA/SPFL Ground regulations and the stadium code of conduct both of which can be found posted around, and at the entrances to, the stadium.
Stewards, and when in attendance Police, supported by CCTV, will be adopting a robust approach to the enforcement of the regulations to ensure that all supporters are able to experience a safe and enjoyable environment while supporting their teams. Any instructions issued by stewards, police or club staff should be complied with immediately to ensure that this occurs
ICTFC takes a zero-tolerance position in respect of unacceptable conduct and any behaviour that could tarnish the clubs reputation. This includes any form of abuse towards staff, visitors, players, officials and other supporters. Anyone found to be engaging in this conduct will be ejected from the stadium and may be referred to the police or arrested. The club will also issue bans to offenders.
Anyone arriving at the stadium under the influence of alcohol, or any other substances, will not be admitted to the stadium and again may face arrest
Possession of and/or discharging pyrotechnics while travelling to or while inside the stadium is now a criminal offence under the Fireworks and Pyrotechnic Articles (Scotland ) Act 2022.
Anyone found to be in breach of the above act will be automatically ejected from the stadium and will receive a club ban. Details will also be shared with other clubs preventing attendance at away matches. You will also be referred to the police which may result in being charged and receiving a criminal record if convicted. While it may seem like a bit of harmless fun and a spectacle in support of your team, it is extremely dangerous and now carries severe penalties for offenders. CCTV is also used by the club to assist in identification of offenders and for the provision of evidence when requested by the police
We want our supporters to make a noise and create a great atmosphere for the players to help drive them on hopefully to victory while making it a daunting place for visiting teams but please do so in an appropriate manner
Anyone attending the ground has the right to do so safely and we as a club wish to ensure that this happens but can only achieve this with the help of our supporters. Football in general is coming under pressure to reverse the recent trends of unacceptable behaviour across the country and we would like to be able to show the rest of the country that Highland hospitality and a warm welcome is still very much alive here in Inverness
