Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager John Robertson has unveiled the new coaching line-up with Ryan Esson and Barry Wilson joining as coaches and Scott Kellacher being promoted to assistant manager.

Robbo said: ”I am delighted that both Ryan and Barry have joined the coaching staff. They both epitomise the quality that we require and showed this in both their careers in which they represented the club for well over a decade each.

“They know what the club wants and have a passion for the coaching side that will stand them and the club in good stead going forward. Ryan will continue to coach the goal keepers and will combine this with sessions with the U18 squad alongside Barry who will split his time between the U18s and the first team.

“Both players have a great affinity with the supporters. I feel they will be very important going forward with an exciting bunch of young players to coach. And their knowledge and experience will be great for the first team as well.”

On promoting Scott to assistant manager, Robbo commented: “Scott deserves his opportunity having worked his way through the club starting out in the community coaching before taking the youth and reserve teams and, finally, being installed as first team coach.

“Having worked under Terry Butcher, John Hughes, and Richie Foran, I feel that Scott needs to push himself even further now and have been impressed by his enthusiasm, knowledge, and variety of sessions during last season. He gets on well with the players and he has the respect from them that saw him as the ideal person to take over from Brian Rice.

“I look forward to working with all three of the coaches and believe we have the right dynamics and mind set to get the very best out of all the players at the club. This will give ICT a very strong base and continuity going forward with people who know and respect what the club and its fans want.”
