The Manager: John Robertson

“The games against the Highland League sides let us work on the basics, our shape, our touch and what we’re looking for. Now, we’ve picked these three games to really test the team ahead of the League Cup Group section.”

“First up is Aberdeen, we’re looking forward to it. The game last year was cancelled unfortunately due to the injuries they had. This game is a big part of Aberdeen’s preparations ahead of their upcoming Europa League games. They’ll want a good test and we’re hopeful we’ll give them that.”

“I’m sure it’ll be a very strong side which they put out and they’ll want to hit the ground running. They had a good win mid-week against Peterhead so it’s good for both team to raise the output of what you are going to get from the game.”

Brad Mckay

“The first few weeks back is always tough, the manager notorious for his ways in pre-season. A couple of new signings were warned before they bought new boots and stuff, you’ll not need your boots you’ll need your running trainers!”

“We’ve just started our games playing a couple of matches against Highland League sides, it’s just about getting match sharpness and trying to get up to the seed of the games.”

“Aberdeen is a big step up from the Highland League sides but last season we played a lot more Highland League sides rather than the sides that are going to be more challenging like Aberdeen, Hearts and St Johnstone. It’s one we’re looking forward to as our pre-season is usually based up here.”
