Dumbarton FC very kindly presented the club with an inscribed rosebowl to mark our meeting in the IRN-BRU Scottish Challenge Cup Final and the club has reciprocated with the presentation of an inscribed Quaich, which will take pride of place in the Dumbarton boardroom.
Director Gordon Fyfe presented Dumbarton Vice-Chairman Colin Hosie with the Cup of Friendship ahead of Saturday’s league match.
He also had a Grand National tip for those assembled in the Boardroom.
Given the bonds of friendship between the clubs, he recommended a flutter on “Pleasant Company”.
And he almost got it right as his nag was pipped on the post by the winner Tiger Roll.
