QUEEN OF THE SOUTH v INVERNESS CT
Saturday 2nd December - 3:00pm
Referee : Barry Cook
Assistants : Frank Connor and David Ingram
THE MANAGER : John Robertson
“It’s a difficult one, again. Queens have gone under the radar, nobody has spoken about them at all, in terms of promotions, the play-offs spots or anything at all and they sit one-point underneath Dunfermline at the moment.”
“They’re a good team and are particularly good at home, on the AstroTurf, so we have to go down there in a positive frame of mind and battle it out. For us, it would be good [to win] as it would allow us to go within three points of them and that’s what we want to do, keep looking at the teams ahead of us and try and get closer.”
Queens sit just one point behind Dunfermline, who currently sit in the final play-off place.
Stephen Dobbie is currently joint top scorer in the league with six goals this season with Derek Lyle having five league goals to his name.
In their last outing, they drew 2-2 away to Dumbarton but had to come from behind twiceto secure their point.
Iain Vigurs returns from suspension. Aaron Doran and Zak Elbouzedi will not travel due to Queen’s plastic pitch, with them both at an early stage of their recovery from serious knee injuries.
