The club is very pleased to announce that Scott Young has become the latest new member of the Board of ICTFC.

Scott attended Crown Primary and then Millburn Academy and as a youth, most Saturdays involved a trip to Kingsmills Park to watch Inverness Thistle.

Over almost 30 years of his business life, Scott who is married with 3 children, has been a Partner and then Director at Donview Veterinary Centre, been a Member and then Chairman of Inverurie Round Table, is a qualified football referee (retired now) and a qualified young person football coach for nearly 15 years and he is currently a Member at Inverness Golf Club.

Speaking to the club media Scott said, “It is a great honour to be joining the Board of my club and I am really hoping that I can help the Chairman, CEO and other Directors to get the club back to where we all want to be and to help develop our future development plans. Since I graduated almost 30 years ago, I have learned a lot of skills both in a business environment but also in real life.”

“I feel I could make a real difference to the club. I am an Inverness man through and through, I know football and most importantly, having been a Season Ticket holder at Caledonian Stadium for the last 16 years, I’m an ICT fan.”

“My favourite games attended obviously include victorious Scottish Cup semi-finals and Final. However, our first victory v Rangers at Ibrox in 2006 is one that is especially etched in my memory bank!”

Chairman Ross Morrison said “I am delighted that Scott has joined the board. We have been speaking to him for a number of weeks now and it is a testament to his love of the club that he is willing and determined to make a difference to Caley Thistle and we are all looking forward to working with him.”
