Caley Thistle drew 0-0 draw against Kelty Hearts at New Central Park, making it three draws from the opening four matches in League 1.

Manager Duncan Ferguson was forced into one change from last weekend’s draw against Montrose, as Calum MacLeod replaced Luis Longstaff in the starting eleven. New signing Paul Allan took a place on the bench.

Caley Thistle retained the same 4-2-3-1 formation as last weekend’s draw against Montrose with Jake Davidson at right wing and Keith Bray switching onto the left side.

The first real chance of the match came after 17 minutes as Scott Williamson was played through on goal, but his effort was well held by Musa Dibaga.

The Caley Thistle keeper was called into action again after 24 minutes as he produced a strong hand to keep out Ross Cunningham’s shot from about 25 yards.

Caley Thistle grew into the match and, last weekend’s goalscorer, Adam MacKinnon saw his shot saved by Ruairidh Adams and the Kelty keeper got on the end of the rebound before Keith Bray.

Right before the break, Caley Thistle had a good chance as Jake Davidson’s low cross found Billy Mckay in the box but his effort was over the bar and behind.

Caley Thistle started the second-half strongly, after 55 minutes Adam MacKinnon saw his effort go over after a good run into the box.

Adam MacKinnon was at the heart of things again after 65 minutes, his cross was cut out before reaching substitute Adam Brooks in the box. The resulting corner was swung in by MacKinnon and headed wide by Charlie Gilmour in the box.

Former Caley Thistle loanee Scott Allan saw his effort from the edge of the box go just wide after 79 minutes. While, new Caley Thistle signing, Paul Allan saw a low effort go just wide moments later.

Caley Thistle look for their first league win of the campaign next weekend as they face Queen of the South at the Caledonian Stadium.
