Stenhousemuir were awarded a penalty kick after 18 minutes on the clock, Danny Devine was judged to have fouled Matthew Aitken in an aerial challenge.

Matty Yates stepped up to take the spot kick but he was denied by Musa Dibaga was a fantastic save down the goalkeeper’s right hand side.

Caley Thistle looked to break the deadlock and Jake Davidson went close on 35 minutes as his effort flew past the post after his good run through the middle.

Just after the hour mark, James Nolan looked to add to his goal last weekend but his shot went over and behind after he met Adam MacKinnon’s ball in the box.

After 76 minutes, substitute Adam Brooks took aim from about 25 yards but his effort went just past the post.

In the closing stages of the match, Caley Thistle looked to force a winner as the ball broke to Adam MacKinnon in the box but his close range effort was blocked by Gregor Buchanan.
