John Robertson Pre-Match Press-Conference v Ross County

On the match against County

“We’re really looking forward to it, I think both derbies this season have been superb, really good games, really good atmosphere even the 0-0 was a really good game and could have gone either way.”

“The last match was fabulous, both teams gave all they had and created lots of chances. Either side could’ve won it so we’re looking forward to it again. I’m hoping it’ll be another great match with a big crowd, we’ve sold out our initial allocation and we’re going for more so hopefully both teams can serve up a really good game.”

On Ross County

“It’s fantastic for the region that both sides are up there at the moment, and I hope both sides go up. We can only look after ourselves, County have battled their way to the top of the table with a solid performance against Partick but we want to win the game. We need to look at our own thoughts on where we are and what we are looking at, this is the last game of the year, it’s a derby match and we want to finish the year on a high.”

On the club’s 2018

“In terms of the calendar year, it’s been a phenomenal effort from the players. We want to try and finish the year on a high and it’s one of these games where you look forward to it and if either side wins then it’s a tremendous way to finish the year but if either side loses it’s a bit of a downer, that’s the law of the jungle when it comes to derby matches. When it comes to our own selfish perspective then we do want to win the game.”

“Fergie and Ketts will be exactly the same, they’ll want their lads to finish the year on a high, their year has been slightly different as they had the disappointment of going down but they’ve bounced back superbly, this league is not easy.”

“They’ve kept most of their players and have added some real quality to it. It’s been well mentioned they’ve got a good healthy budget but it’s ok having it but you still have to manage it properly and that is where Fergie and Ketts should be hugely applauded.”

On the end of season target for the club

“This is our halfway game, because our match against Ayr Utd was postponed. This brings us to a nice even end, we’ll have played half our matches after Saturday and afterwards the coaching staff will sit down and reassess where we are and our targets going into the second-half of the season.”

Team News

“Carl Tremarco got through a full training session and should be involved with the squad on Saturday. Daniel Mackay also has return to training but it may be too early for him.”
