Neil McCann

“It was important that everyone connected with the club enjoyed Friday’s result. It was a massive result us and it was a brilliant performance.”

“Sometimes you get a result but not the performance but we were able to enjoy everything there.”

“We’ve done that, they’ve had a day off for recovery but we’re back to work now and this is a huge game for us against Morton.”

“It’s the same build up for the team. It’s about coming up with a shape, a tactical plan, doing our homework on Morton. I think the difference this time is Morton have a different coaching team and they have different tactical plans on how they want to play.”

“I’ve know Gus a long time, as I’ve known Andy a long time, they are so meticulous as a coaching team I think they’ll have a different game plan for facing us. The preparations are the same in terms of what the focus and the drive should be.”

“You give the boys all the bits of information that you can, then they look to go execute that on the pitch. I can honestly say the last number of games now they’ve been right on it as a group. I think they’re feeling good as a group and feeling strong in their shape. We’re looking solid defensively and a real threat going forward, it’s a good mix.”

Team News

“What we’re seeing now is the real strength of the group. Aaron Doran is starting to step up his fitness work.”

“I think we’ve nearly got a full squad to choose from for this match. Maybe that is just winning games of football and everyone wants to be apart of it.”

“It’s a hard thing as a Manager as you’ve got a greater pull to choose from, which is a good thing, but you then have to start leaving a few boys out. The most encouraging thing  for me is everyone wants to be apart of this now.”
