Caley Jags are looking to extend their unbeaten run of seven matches as they travel to Renfrewshire to face Dumbarton at the YOUR Radio 103FM Stadium. This is the second game in a double header against the Sons for ICTFC after Saturday’s 5-1 win thanks to a hat-trick from Nathan Austin and goals from Aaron Doran and Iain Vigurs.

The Manager

John Robertson

“It’s a notoriously difficult venue, I’m sure Dumbarton will freshen things up. I expect them to have changes, especially in the forward areas, as they’ll try to freshen up their attack.”

“We’ve got three players back available, we’ll have a full squad, so it’ll be up to us to decide whether to fresh things up or keep the same team. We’re not sure yet, we’ll have a good chat about that and make our decision tomorrow.”

“The most important thing for us is to keep this momentum going and keep winning. We know it’s going to be very difficult, it was difficult on Saturday until we got the third and fourth goals to kill them off a bit.”

The Opponent

The Sons come into the game after Saturday’s 5-1 loss to ICTFC with them currently occupying the relegation play-off zone, trailing Falkirk by eight points in the table. Dumbarton have been on a run of poor from recently, with just one win in their last seven games. However, that win was an impressive 3-2 victory against Dundee Utd thanks to a double from Craig Barr and a goal from Callum Gallagher.

Team News

Coll Donaldson, Charlie Trafford and Carl Tremarco return from suspension.

Head-to-head: ICTFC Wins: 5   Draws: 0    Dumbarton Wins: 1

Aaron Doran had the following to say before the match: “All the lads believe. We know what we need to do, we need to win every game. There’s a lot of tough games to come but we’re going out there confident and have a lot of a momentum behind us right now.”

“It’ll be a tough game tomorrow, I don’t think their pitch is the greatest and they’ll probably freshen the team up tomorrow. They’re still fighting for their survival, they are trying catch Falkirk. It’ll be a tough game, we’re not going to take it easy, and we’re going to try and put on a similar performance to Saturday.”
