Manager: John Robertson
“We’re desperate to get going again, we’ve not played since the end of December so we’re just keen to get back in.’
“The boys are raring to go, obviously it’s no fault of our own that we haven’t played recently. For variety of reasons, a waterlogged pitch, frozen pitch or COVID, we haven’t been able to play recently.”
“We’ll probably put the covers on ourselves on Friday afternoon, as the temperatures are quite cold on Friday night to make sure everything is ok and then it’ll just be a case of Alloa getting up the road safe.”
Team News
“We’ve got a couple of niggles, the boys have been training very hard. We’ve got a couple of players that we’ll look at on Friday, they may make it but we may not take the chance with the amount of games coming up.”
“It would be pointless to risk someone who’s feeling a little muscle injury then suddenly they’re out for 5 or 6 weeks.”
“Lewis Toshney and Kevin McHattie are making strides to not being far away. Kevin is ahead of Lewis now, it may be a fortnight before Kevin can join back in, which is great as he’s way ahead of schedule after surgery.”
“Lewis is just completing the end of an 8 week rehab on his thigh before he looks to join in. So, to have at least one of them back, maybe both back, in the next couple of weeks would be ideal in terms of training wise and getting them up to speed.”
