Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC are delighted to announce the signing of striker Layton Stewart on a deal until the end of the season, subject to Scottish FA and international clearance.
The 24-year-old progressed through the Liverpool FC Academy system before making his senior debut for the club in December 2022 against Derby County in the EFL Cup.
Layton then signed for EFL Championship side Preston North End in July 2023, before joining Swiss side FC Thun on loan in January 2025. During his time in Switzerland, he helped the club secure the Swiss Challenge League title and promotion to the Swiss Super League.
His loan move to FC Thun was made permanent at the end of the 2024/25 season, before the striker subsequently joined EFL League One side AFC Wimbledon on loan.
Layton will wear the number 9 shirt for the upcoming season.
