ICTWFC are in home action today as they face East Fife at Millburn Academy, 12.30pm kick-off
Karen Mason spoke to ictfc.com to give her pre-match thoughts
How do you reflect on the point against Dryburgh in your last outing?
It was very much two points dropped for us, we didn’t manage to find anywhere close to the level of performance we know we are capable of as individuals and as a collective. Inconsistency is still a huge problem for us. Thankfully other results went in our favour so we are still hanging in there at the moment.
This weekend league leaders East Fife visit, how are you looking forward to the match?
We always have closely contested matches against East Fife and we were the first to inflict defeat upon them this season so I know they will be coming up looking to prove a point. They are sitting fairly comfortably at the top at the moment and we want to try to close that gap if we can.
You were able to add Miriam MacLean on loan from Aberdeen to your squad, how has she settled in?
Miriam has settled in well, she is a player I am familiar with and brought something different to the squad. Unfortunately, she has picked up a bit of an injury so she is unlikely to feature this weekend.
Also, there was no match last weekend, but a great day for Sophie’s Story at the Highland Rugby Club, how are the girls progressing with the ‘3 peaks’ challenge preparations?
The legends match was certainly entertaining and there was a great turnout of support which was incredible to see the football community coming together. Training is going well overall, there has been some more distance and hills added in. Everyone is all at a different level of fitness in terms of walking, so we are trying to get everyone’s condition up to the same standard to be able to keep with the pace with what we will need to do on the day.
