Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC can confirm the signing of midfielder Joe Chalmers on a 1-year deal.
Joe, 31 years-old, is a familiar face at the Caledonian Stadium having played for us between 2017 and 2019 and he made 96 appearances and scoring 6 goals.
Joe started his career coming through the academy system at Celtic and moved to Scottish Premiership side Motherwell in 2015. He then joined Caley Thistle in 2017 and scored his first professional goal against Queen of the South in January 2018.
Fans will remember Joe’s stunning strike against Dundee United our Scottish Cup Quarter Final win in March 2019.
Joe then joined Ross County for one season in 2019/20, before moving to Championship side Ayr United where he made 50 appearances and scoring three goals. He then moved to Dunfermline Athletic in 2022, where he made 109 appearances.
Upon signing, Joe Chalmers said: “I’m delighted to be back, I really enjoyed my time here before. I spoke to the gaffer and Billy Mckay about coming back and it was a straight forward decision for me.”
