Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC can confirm that David Carson has joined Livingston FC following a permanent transfer deal being agreed between both clubs.

Carson, 28 years-old, joined us from Morpeth Town back in the summer of 2019. During his first season Carson played 38 matches across all competitions as Caley Thistle sat in second place before the season was ended early due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

David missed the initial start to the 2020/21 season due to injury but returned and during the season began to feature more at right-back rather than midfield. David was named the club’s Fans’ Player of the Year for 2020/21 for his performances.

In 2021/22, David made over 40 appearances at Caley Thistle reached the final of the Premiership Play-offs. David was named the Fans’ Player of the Year for 2021/22 for his performances, for a second season in a row.

David reached his 100th game for the club at the start of the 2022/23 season in July against Queen’s Park.  During 2022/23, David featured in 45 matches, and he scored an 88th minute winner against Greenock Morton in a 2-1 win for his second goal at the club.

David featured in our run of the Scottish Cup final, featuring in the wins against Livingston and Kilmarnock and in the final against Celtic.

Earlier this season, David played his 150th game for the club against Dundee United and in total he has played 163 matches for Inverness Caledonian Thistle and has scored twice.
