Converged Communication Solutions and Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC (ICTFC) are inviting sponsors, suppliers, and Highland-based companies to a cybersecurity workshop on Wednesday 24th April at the Caledonian Stadium, to celebrate the continuation of the IT Partnership between Converged and ICTFC.
In the face of rising cyber threats, football clubs are not immune and ICTFC recognises the critical importance of cybersecurity.
Acknowledging not all organisations have access to comprehensive advice, and in a proactive move to give back to the community, the club, in partnership with Converged, is inviting sponsors, suppliers, and Highland-based companies to a cybersecurity workshop on Wednesday 24th April, 9.30am arrival for 10am start at the Caledonian Stadium. Workshop to finish around 11.30am, followed by a stadium tour and networking lunch until 1pm.
Highland-based businesses seeking to bolster their security posture are encouraged to register for the workshop, Your Business, Held to Ransom, through the provided link here.
The workshop aims to enhance the region’s security, focusing on the supply chain’s resilience against potential ransomware cyber-attacks.
Robbie Ross, Chief Security Officer at Converged, and Gavin Simpson, Technical Manager, will lead the workshop sharing practical insights into dealing with ransomware attacks and providing simple and accessible advice on safeguarding data. The event will also feature guest speaker William Wright from Closed Door Security, a leading CREST-accredited penetration testing company and Scotland’s only Chartered Hacker.
Keith Haggart, ICTFC Commercial Director, said: “Creating long-term partnerships with established businesses such as Converged is important to ICTFC, as their knowledge and insight is hugely beneficial. Cybersecurity has the potential to affect us all, either in our home or work environments, so we’re delighted to join forces with Converged to further extend the delivery of cybersecurity awareness training to our sponsors, suppliers, and the wider business community. We’re looking forward to welcoming attendees to the stadium in April.”
Since the start of the partnership between ICTFC and Converged in July 2021, Converged has undertaken and managed transformative IT projects on behalf of the club, strengthening its technological infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and protecting it against cyber attacks.
Over the past three years, Converged has been at the forefront of managing and enhancing ICTFC’s IT infrastructure.
