PAST MEETINGS
The teams have only met once. It was in this competition in the 1st round on the 10/09/2002. Inverness CT were a 1st division side at the time. They won deservedly 2-0 with goals from Dennis Wyness and Paul Ritchie. The attendance was only 667 and the man of the match was Garry Mitchell. There were 2 bookings on the day: Hart (ICT) and Dickie (Dumbarton).

The team line-ups were:
INVERNESS CT: Brown, Mann, Munro, Golabek, Tokely, Duncan, McBain, Hart, Robson, Christie, Wyness.
Subs- Low (for Tokely), Keogh (for Hart), Ritchie (for Christie), Gilfillan, Ridgers.

DUMBARTON: Grindlay, Dickie, Stewart, Scally, McEwan, Collins, Crilly, McKeown, Dillon, McCutcheon, Brown.
Subs- Lynes (for Crilly), Robertson (for Dillon), McCann (for Brown), Jack, Wight.

FACTS BETWEEN THE TEAMS
• The teams have only met once and that was in the cup aswell.
• Dumbarton have never scored against Inverness CT.
• 8 of the players who started against Dumbarton in 2002 still play for the club.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Graham Bayne (ICT): The Caley Thistle forward came on as a sub against Celtic and made a big impact. His physical presence is a nuisance for any defence. He has not started a game yet this season but is in line for a starting place shortly, and may well start against Dumbarton on Wednesday.

Jose Quitongo (Dumbarton): The striker has signed a months deal to cover for the injured John Gemmell. He is hoping to move back to Portugal to play football which is why this is just a short-term contract. He was released by Partick in the summer. His previous clubs were Benfica, Darlington, Hamilton (3 spells), Hearts, St Mirren, Kilmarnock and Alloa. He will be aiming to show he still has his touch.

FUTURE FIXTURES
None arranged at present.
