Community Introduction

ICT Community DeptICT COMMUNITY DEPARTMENT - ABOUT US

The Community department at Inverness Caledonian Thistle has developed significantly in recent years and is now participating in more initiatives than ever before.

Whilst the regular favourites such as the ‘Hotshots’ holiday coaching, the after-school soccer clinics and primary school healthy lifestyle visits still attract excellent attendance.

We also run Walking Football, Parents on the Ball, Football Fans in Training programmes and stadium football festivals which have also had great success in recent times.

2017 ICTFC CommunityOur holiday hotshots continue to be a great opportunity for both boys and girls to participate in structured football programmes throughout their school holidays with opportunities to attend locally in Nairn, Forres, Aviemore and Fort William as well as the courses run at Millburn and Milton of Leys in Inverness.

The development of the SPFL Trust has attracted new partners as more and more organisations see the sense and obvious attraction of working alongside the local football club and utilising the facilities and fan base involved. ICT have been working in conjunction with the trust to make sure that we are involved in any new programmes as we attempt to broaden our community horizon.

There are obvious tangible benefits such as grant aid, sponsorships and course fees but what is harder to measure is the unquestionable goodwill, potential new supporters and healthy lifestyle advice that goes hand in hand with our courses.

One thing every football club in the country is agreed upon and that is the importance of a healthy and prosperous community department and we at Inverness Caledonian Thistle are delighted that ours is continually producing such superb results.
