Match report
Caley Thistle withstood severe second half pressure and nearly took three points from this match but in the end Queens deservedly scored an equaliser. There was little to choose between the teams in the early stages and it was the visitors who took the lead in 17 minutes. Barry Wilson ran onto a pass from Duncan Shearer and scored his 14th goal of the season.. Queens began to cause problems for the Caley Thistle defence just before the break and Les Fridge made two fine saves. The second half was all Queens but it was not until late on that they made the pressure count. Bobby Mann cleared off the line in 75 minutes, Paul Cherry made a saving header then Jamie McAllister hit the post with Fridge beaten. With a minute left Bryan Caldwell swung the ball across goal and George Rowe headed home to secure a draw. At the same moment John Robertson was equalising for Livingston at Arbroath. These two 89th minute goals ensured that the top of the Second Division remains the same with Livingston 2 points ahead of Caley Thistle. With 3 games left the meeting of the top two on May 1st is shaping up to be the championship decider.
