Match report
Martin Lisle was captain for the home side as this was his last game for the club - he has been given a free transfer in recognition of his 17 years at Telford Street. Livingston came to Inverness as champions and took away three points.

The home side started well and could easily have won this game in the first half hour. Livingston took the lead in 34 minutes through Stewart Laidlaw and despite some late pressure from the Inverness side they went in at half time one down.

Livingston turned up the heat in the second half and Laidlaw made it 2-0 in 57 minutes. It should have been three in 81 minutes when Livingston were awarded a penalty for Mark McAllisters clumsy tackle on Jason Young but Jim Calder saved Youngs kick. This spurred the home side to fight back and with one minute to go they gained a consolation goal when Iain Stewart latched onto a through ball from Alan Hercher and flicked it over the advancing Douglas.
