Caley thistle have signed a former barber to do some grooming in defence or midfield for the rest of the season.
Steve Williams, who towers at 6 feet 4 inches tall and will be 25 in April, has arrived in Inverness on loan from Bradford City for whom he signed a three year deal in June 2010.
Preston-born Steve can play centre back or centre midfield and scored seven goals in 77 appearances for Bradford, having joined City in a one year deal in July 2009 when he was snapped up by then manager Stuart McCall who will, ironically, welcome Caley Jags to Fir Park on Saturday as Motherwell boss.
Manager Terry Butcher said:"We had a look at Steve for a couple of days in training last week and been impressed with what we've seen and he's liked the place. With centre half Chris Hogg's cruciate injury ruling him out for the rest of the season, he gives us a good option at the back or in the centre of the field.
"Steve has good experience for a young man and coming here gives him the chance to make a mark in the SPL. He's strong and quick and good in the air."
Williams started with West Lancashire league side Charnock Richard and played for Bromley, Bamber Bridge and Hyde United before joining Fleetwood Town in June 2009. He balanced his semi-pro career with working as a barber but gave that up once McCall signed him for Bradford.
With David Davis and Aiden Chippendale having rejoined Wolves and Huddersfield respectively, the capture of Williams boosts Terry Butcher's squad.
