Following the ICTFC’s under 12s success in Orkney last week, the ICTFC under 11’s travelled back up to Orkney hoping to repeat the feat. The competition which is hosted by Orkney Youth Development and sponsored by Littlejohn’s Removals hosted three Orkney teams, two Shetland teams, two ICTFC team and one Ross County team. The tournament was set out in a league format in which you would receive 4 points for a win 2 points for a score draw and 1 point for a no score draw. The team at the top of the league after the 7 games would lift the trophy.
ICTFC Home, which consisted of Charlie Eaglesham, Max McLachlan, Matthew Strachan, Ethan McGoran, Fergus Tebb, Calum MacKay, Aaron Nicholson, Adam Boa and William Urquhart, put on a fine footballing display throughout the afternoon which was enjoyable for all to watch. In the 7 games which ICTFC Home played in, they won 6 and drew 1 and on the way scoring 23 goals and conceding 0. The team finished on 25 points which saw them top the table and lift the much coveted piece of silverware.
ICTFC Away which consisted of Lewis Munro, Evan Davidson, Alex Davidson, Keenan Souttar, Owen MacDonald, Caelan Mutch, Jamie Carnihan, Aidan Cruickshank & Ross Hardie accumulated a total of 22 points over the course of the competitions. They won 5 games, drew 1 and lost one (against ICTFC Home) and during these games scored 17 goals and conceded only 2 goals. These results saw them finish in 2nd place.
Congratulations to Shetland Blue who finished in 3rd place and thank you to Orkney Youth Development for inviting us along to the tournament.
