roberts jordanJORDAN ROBERTS SIGNS

Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC is delighted to have completed the signing of 21 year old, former Aldershot Town FC player, Jordan Roberts, on a 1 year deal with a 1 year option for the club…subject to international clearance.

Jordan Roberts said: “I’m happy that the deal is all sorted now. It’s good to have been in from the start of pre-season, to be getting settled in with the lads, playing games and to score goals. It’s great to have got the opportunity to come up here with a club that’s doing so well and I want to kick on now. I want to be entertaining the fans and scoring goals, so it’s up to me now to put in the work at training so the manager will pick me for the team on a Saturday and we’ll go from there.”

Caley Thistle face their biggest test of the pre-season so far when Tulloch Caledonian Stadium plays host to Ladbrokes Championship side, St Mirren FC in a friendly on Saturday 11th July. The match kicks off at 3pm with tickets priced at £15 for Adults, £10 for Concessions and £5 for U16’s.

John Hughes said: “It’s fantastic to have added another player to the squad ahead of the new season. Jordan’s young, but he’s got that hunger and ambition to learn that I look for in players so I believe he’ll do well here.”

“We still have a number of trialists in training with us this week and we will maybe get a look at them on Saturday in the game against St Mirren. There are still spaces to be filled and if they’re good enough then we’ll make them an offer and see what happens.”

Chairman Kenny Cameron said: “With younger players there’s an extra level of due diligence that is required, to ensure they are free to sign, so it takes a little longer to get to the point where contracts can be completed. That’s all done now and we’re just awaiting confirmation of his international clearance.”

“There’s more signings to come. John is still running the rule over a few other trialists he has in at the moment and we remain ready to get deals done with those he identifies as being the right caliber and a good fit for the club.”
