Inverness teenager Martin Laing plays the bagpipes -- and he's hit the top note by achieving his dream of winning a professional contract with Caley Thistle's first team squad for the new season.
The 19-year-old midfielder, a product of the club's youth development system, impressed manager Terry Butcher and assistant Maurice Malpas with his performances in the under-19 team.
His arrival freshens up a local presence in the first team squad, joining Nick Ross and Shane Sutherland.
"Martin is a clever lad and a good player who has made excellent progress through our youth setup and we're pleased to have signed him on a first-team contract", said Butcher.
"The lad has worked hard to get himself into this situation and he joins the rest of the first team for the start of pre-season on Friday. It'll all depend on him from there but Martin's delighted at the opportunity and he'll learn a great deal from our experienced players as he works to make his impact."
Laing, however, is not being encouraged to play the pipes on the team bus!
