ICT Community DeptICT COMMUNITY DEPARTMENT - ABOUT US

The Community department at Inverness Caledonian Thistle has developed significantly in recent years and is now participating in more initiatives than ever before. Whilst the regular favourites such as the ‘Hotshots’ holiday coaching, the after school soccer clinics and primary school healthy lifestyle visits still attract excellent attendance we also run support employment courses, fit fans programmes and stadium football festivals which have also had great success in recent times.

It was very pleasing to see a thirty percent increase in participants at our coaching classes and holiday hotshots in the past year and we also extended our catchment area and held courses in Nairn, Newtonmore, Drumnadrochit and Fort William as well as the courses run  at Millburn, Charleston and Balloch in Inverness.

The development of the SPL Trust has attracted new partners as more and more organisations see the sense and obvious attraction of working alongside the local football club and utilising the facilities and fan base involved. ICT have been working in conjunction with the trust to make sure that we are involved in any new programmes as we attempt to broaden our community horizon.

There are obvious tangible benefits such as grant aid, sponsorships and course fees but what is harder to measure is the unquestionable goodwill, potential new supporters and healthy lifestyle advice that goes hand in hand with our courses.

One thing every football club in the country is agreed upon and that is the importance of a healthy and prosperous community department and we at Inverness Caledonian Thistle are delighted that ours is continually producing such superb results.
